They may, only because bumper--to-bumper warranties make all items either mechanical (i.e. whenever it fails), or dated (i.e. 5,000 miles, 10,000 miles, or whatever). And since the car had less than 4000 miles on it, we may have a winner. We've got a really good advocate at Mini, so if all goes well, all we'll pay for is the limited slip differential (which is still $2300, but we were going to do it anyway, and it is easiest to do when they're already going in to work on the clutch). So.... keep thinking me happy car thoughts. We'll still have to pay a few hundred bucks to overnight the parts in, and we'll have to pay the mechanic to come in on a Saturday, but that's okay, if it means that I have MY car for the Pro Solo. And Mr. V. and I have talked, and all is mostly cool. There are a few things that he and I both need to talk about more (believe it or not, it is financial, more than anything), but the fact that he's willing to talk and work on things is too cool for words. Other than that, a slow day. It's been raining, and we are both beat up from the bike riding and the golf yesterday, so we stayed home and watched Smokey and the Bandit. No. Really. We did.
