skibigsky's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yep... I've falled on the face of the planet. So, yeah, I’ve fallen off the face of the planet, thanks for asking! *grin. Actually, I’ve been sick. After the ski clinic, I fought a cold for a couple of days that finally won, got bronchitis, and I’m finally recuperating, although I’m still hacking up enough bits of lung that I’m scaring the standard poodle. Ick. I haven’t skied since the clinic, and haven’t been up to it. I might be up for it tomorrow, depending on the weather and how I feel. This being sick things sucks. Frankly, it's been bad enough that trepanation is starting to sound like a good idea. Of course, Mr. V. has been sick as well, so we’ve been basically housebound. I’ve made a few forays out for soup and meds, and we had to have our handyman clear our driveway of snow the other day because we couldn’t do it ourselves. Yeah. Yippee. This being sick is fun. Bleah. There’s a ski race here in PC this weekend; Super G, GS, and slalom, and neither of us will be racing; I haven’t trained (and haven’t had much of a desire to, although this sickness is actually getting me a little more excited about skiing…. Better than lying in bed!) and Mr. V.’s ankle is still not ideal – and he hasn’t trained either. It will feel a little weird to ski this weekend (assuming we do) and not race. Maybe I’ll miss it when I see other people racing. Or maybe I won’t! Either way, I’m not going to get hung up on it – I’m not racing, could race, and really don’t feel like it. (Although I do like running the PC Super G. But again… Haven’t been on speed skis at all this season…) So for all that, I might just as well have fallen off the face of the planet…. Not doing anything exciting, although trying to arrange a trip to LA for the 9-10th of Feb. to do a little car racing.
